Why History AI?

Natural language search

Stop guessing exact keywords or page titles. Describe what you remember — topic, time, purpose — and History AI finds your past pages intelligently.

On-device AI only

All processing uses Chrome’s built-in AI model directly in your browser. Your browsing history never leaves your device, and no external servers are involved.

Modern, focused UI

A clean, card-based popup and organized settings page make it easy to search, review, and manage how the extension works — without clutter.

Works across your history

With the required history permission, History AI can search across your browsing past, not just the current tab, to give you accurate and relevant results.

Respectful permissions

The extension requests only the permissions it needs for core features: history search, saving configuration, accessing tabs for context, and optional notifications.

Configurable & transparent

Use the settings page to tune how indexing and scanning behave, manage test data, and view statistics. You stay in control of how your history is used.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my browsing history uploaded anywhere? No. All analysis happens locally in Chrome using its built-in AI capabilities. The extension does not send history to any external server or analytics platform.
What permissions does the extension require? History AI uses the history, storage, tabs, and notifications permissions, as well as host permissions to run its content scripts where needed for improved search context.
Can I delete my data? Yes. When you clear your browsing history in Chrome, it is no longer available to History AI. You can also clear or reset any configuration data stored by the extension via Chrome’s extension settings.
How can I get help or report an issue? You can reach the developer at Sujith8115@gmail.com for support, feedback, or bug reports.
