Overview

AI Shortlist Comparator (the "Extension") is designed to help users collect and compare items from web pages. The Extension extracts only visible page information (title, price, short description) when a user elects to add a page to a shortlist. The Extension is intentionally privacy-first: it stores data locally on your device and does not transmit user data to any external servers.

Data Collected

The Extension collects and stores the following user-provided or page-derived information in the browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

No other system-level or personal identifiers are collected (for example: device identifiers, cookies from other sites, or browsing history beyond the current page while actively extracting).

How Data Is Used

This Extension does not integrate with or send data to third-party services. If this changes in future updates, the privacy policy will be updated and users will be informed in the release notes and via the extension listing.

Security

Data is stored on the user's device using Chrome's extension storage APIs. Standard Chrome sandboxing and extension security models apply. We recommend users keep Chrome updated to benefit from the latest security patches.
