This Privacy Policy describes how AI Answer Evaluator ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:

- Institution name (optional)
This information is used for authentication via Firebase Authentication.
1.2 Evaluation Data
The app stores the following data locally on your device:
- Scanned images of answer sheets and question papers
- Evaluation results, scores, and feedback
- Grading templates and marking schemes
- Evaluation history
This data is stored in a local SQLite database on your device and is not transmitted to external servers.
1.3 Device Permissions
The app requests the following permissions:
- Camera — To capture images of physical answer sheets and question papers.
- Photos / Storage — To access saved images from your device gallery.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the evaluation service
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To process answer sheet evaluations using AI services
- To track credit usage for evaluations
- To generate PDF reports of evaluation results
3. Third-Party Services
The app uses the following third-party services:

- Google Play Services — For app distribution and updates.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Evaluation data and images are stored locally on your device using SQLite and the device file system.
- Account credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication with industry-standard encryption.
- We do not maintain cloud backups of your evaluation data.
- Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties except:
- As required to provide the core evaluation service (sending images to OpenAI API)
- If required by law or to protect our rights
6. Children's Privacy
The app is intended for use by teachers and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your account information
- Delete your evaluation data by clearing it within the app or uninstalling
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Revoke camera and storage permissions at any time via device settings

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by visiting our account deletion page:
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your authentication credentials (email, name, Google account link)
- All evaluation history, results, and scoring data stored on our servers
- All saved master keys and marking schemes stored on our servers
- Your credit balance and purchase transaction records
Data stored locally on your device (within the app) is not affected by server-side deletion. To remove local data, please uninstall the app from your device.
Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. Any remaining credits are non-refundable.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
